Conroe Gets Its Own Comic Con

Houston has Comicpalooza coming up July 17-18 at the George R. Brown, and now Conroe gets its very own comic con the very next weekend with Comic Conroe. Montgormery County's pop culture festival will hold its debut event July 23-25 at the Lone Star Convention Center. Convention organizers Galactic Events describe Comic Conroe as follows:

The pop-culture festival will assemble July 23-25, 2021 with a fresh convention that will adhere to the latest health and safety standards of the venue, while providing fans from all walks of life a programming line-up that celebrates anime, comic books, films, television, and literature.
Comic Conroe will take fans on a journey that will spark the imagination. The extravaganza will feature rich programming covering a wide range of pop culture interests; a thriving exhibit floor featuring the bustling Artist Alley and Dealer’s Room; the popular cosplay competition that will inspire and amaze; and other entertainment throughout the weekend.

The talent lineup is still being assembled, but guests announced so far include Kevin Sorbo (Actor: Hercules: The Legendary Journeys), Mostaffa Moussa (Artist & Inker: Batman, TMNT, Fantastic Four), Stephanie Nadolny (Voice Actor: Dragon Ball Z, OK K.O.!), Michael Copon (Actor: Power Rangers, Scorpion King), and more. The family-friendly event will also feature a cosplay contest, a car show, panels, and all kinds of vendor booths.
