Texas MS-150 returns Saturday after last year's cancellation

After being cancelled last year because of COVID-19, the Bike MS Texas 150 is making its return. So be prepared to see a lot of cyclists on thro road tomorrow. But, as with most large events in a COVID world, there are some changes.

"Normally it's a two day event that ends in Austin, but this year it's a one day event that's been cut to 80 days, culminating in College Station at Kyle Field, said Fleet Feet Houston's Daniel Braden.

Braden will be one of the many getting on his bike for this year's ride. And it's for a very personal reason.

"My wife is the team captain. Her brother was diagnosed with MS a couple of years ago. So we set up a team and called it the B-Team," Braden explained.

The National MS Society is hoping to raise $7M this year (in normal years they raise $14M). Last year, the virtual event raised $6M.
