Gun Sales Post Record Breaking Numbers in 2020

2020 has been a banner year for gun sales across the board. Lockdowns, riots, and a presidential election have all contributed to a record shattering year in gun-buying. Last month was the busiest November on record for FBI background checks: 3.6 million.

“We’ve found people who’d never had a gun buying a gun. We’ve had people who normally buy guns buy more of them, and the accessories that go with them,” Mike Clark, the owner of Collectors Firearms, said.

Clark has been surprised at this year's spike in sales. He says many of his customers are worried about additional fees, wait times, and restrictions a Joe Biden administration would impose on gun owners. He heard similar concerns during the Clinton and Obama years.
