Tonight was supposed to be debate night in America

Tonight was supposed to be debate night. But it hasn't worked out that way.

The Commission on Presidential Debates made it virtual because of Trump's case of COVID. Then they cancelled it completely when the President balked at the idea. But Trump already recovered. Andy Hogue with the Travis County Republican Party says welcome to politics 2020.

"It's not a matter of health, safety or science. It's a political issue designed to attack the other side," Hogue said.

Hogue also says you can believe that there are no undecided voters out there, so there's no need to debate. But that's not necessarily true.

"There are undecideds. They are mostly down the ballot. But they are waiting to see how the Presidential candidates behave," Hogue explained.

In other words, while you might think we don't need another Trump-Biden debate, we actually do.
