2020 has given us one disaster after another, wearing us all out

We've seen one bad thing happen after another in 2020. It's worn a lot of us out.

There's COVID. There's our politics. There are the violent riots. Throw in murder hornets and natural disasters and even psychologists like Dr, Wendy Rice are thinking about therapy.

"If I was in therapy, this would definitely be something I'd be talking about," Rice said.

She says the bigger problem for here is that these events just come one right after another. And she's afraid disaster fatigue will eventually settle in.

"It affects us differently if we keep seeing it," Rice says, adding that we get desensitized at some point when we see things like this happen over and over and over again.
