Remote Work Is Here to Stay

Global CEO’s think the idea of remote working is going to last longer than coronavirus.

A survey conducted by pWc among clients finds:

·78% of CEOs say remote work is "here to stay."

·21% of CEOs think the shift to work from home is temporary.

·54% of CEOs feel the shift toward a gig economy over traditional jobs will continue.

·53% of CEOs worldwide say they believe global economic growth will decline in the next 12 months.

·62% of CEOs in the U.S. say they expect an economic downturn in the next 12 months.

Business consultant Garrison Wynn says not everyone is cut out for working from home. “About half the people do very well at home. They’re comfortable, they’re productive, and they’re great. But half are not. Half are distracted.” Wynn says they’re like unsupervised kids, and says among the CEO’s he’s heard from, he’s getting a different message. “Nothing they can do about it. They don’t really have any choice. There are so many people working from home they have to make it look positive, but they’re not quite so positive.”
