Temperature checks can be misleading

Some businesses are checking temperatures as their employees return to work. But medical experts say that could do more harm than good.

KTRH medical expert Dr. Joe Galati says many who carry the virus don't have a fever.

"Relying 100% on a fever, meaning you have a fever, you have Corona, you do not have a fever and you don't and you're clear to go is a mistake -- it's just one piece of the evaluation."

Dr. Galati says about the best you can do right now is ask workers questions.

"Questioning them on how they've been feeling, have they been around other individuals that have been ill recently and certainly their exposure to large groups and any travel they've had."

Dr. Galati says what we need is a simple Coronavirus test, available for everyone.
