Bloomberg will visit Texas later this week ahead of Super Tuesday primary

Texas is part of Super Tuesday in this election cycle. The Democrats running for President have been focusing on the delegate-rich state, and maybe no one has been more focused on it than former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg.

Bloomberg's campaign today announced that he will be back in the Lone Star State later this week. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner gave Bloomberg his endorsement two weeks ago. Today he explained one of the reasons behind it.

"When it comes to creating job opportunities, what impressed me is that he created over 500-thousand jobs in New York," Turner said.

Despite that, Melissa Mackenzie at the American Spectator says Bloomberg is all wrong for Texas.

"He's a New York liberal progressive. He hates guns. That's antithetical to the Texas way," Mackenzie explained. "His perspective just about anything social policy makes him a bad fit for Texas."

The latest polling shows that Bloomberg has a large mountain to climb in Texas. He is currently running fourth in the latest numbers from the University of Houston. Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are in a statistical dead heat, with Elizabeth Warren running third.
