Today at the Pride Rock residence hall on the Texas A&M-Commerce campus, two people have been shot and killed and another gunshot victim is being treated at an area hospital. A shelter in place has been lifted for the campus. Pride Rock and surrounding areas remained blocked off.
The school says counselors are available on campus for anyone who feels the need for help coping with the incident.
Both day and evening classes have been cancelled for today. University police are undergoing an active criminal investigation and are placed all around the campus.
