Poll: Dems say Obama was better than George Washington by wide margin

If you needed proof that politics has turned into cult worship, check out the results of this poll.

Research done at Monmouth University asked Democrats who the better President was between Barack Obama and George Washington. Obama won 63%-29%. Political analyst Chris Begala wasn't surprised.

"What Democratic voters know about George Washington is what they've read in the history books," Begala stated.

Begala says that accounts for some of the findings. Our partisan divide does, too.

"The political divide today is enormous, probably the biggest by far since the Civil War," Begala said.

In case you were wondering, Republicans said Washington was a better President than Trump, but by only seven points. When you don't break it down by party, Washington beats Trump 71%-15% but only beats Obama 58%-33%
