Could Texas Republicans lose their grip on the legislature?

It might be a sign that Texas Republicans won't cruise to victory in 2020.

Another Republican State Representative, Dwayne Bohac, announced his retirement this week. Harvey Kronberg with the Quorum Report told KTRH the Republican 'Texodous' continues.

"The demographics are shifting. Normally reliable elections in this last midterm proved to be real nail biters," Kronberg said.

Texas GOP 'Victory' chairwoman Stacy Hock says this really is not the bad sign others think it is

"The Texas House is always vulnerable. Every year you have to make your case and fight for all of your seats," Hock stated.

And she says this actually represents opportunity for the party.

"The thing that I am excited about is that I think we need to no longer take for granted what we have had for the last twenty years," Hock explained.

Democrats are 10 seats away from winning the House majority in Austin.
