A construction worker is dead after a fall from the Beltway 8 overpass near Highway 288 earlier this morning.
Harris County Precinct 7 says this happened around 4:30 this morning along the South Beltway feeder road heading west toward Highway 288. Several emergency crews are on the scene where the fall took place.
Police say the man who fell was working in the area when he fell several feet. Apparently others tried to perform CPR.
Investigators are on the scene and the road is closed.
