WEATHER ALERT: Flash flood watch issued for much of the Houston area

Get ready for more rain, and it has the potential to be rain that could cause flooding around the Houston area.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch that will go into effect at 1 o'clock this afternoon lasting until the storms pass on Saturday night.

The watch covers nearly all of Southeast Texas, including the communities of

Austin-Brazoria Islands-Brazos-Burleson-Chambers-Coastal Brazoria-

Coastal Galveston-Coastal Harris-Coastal Jackson-

Coastal Matagorda-Colorado-Fort Bend-

Galveston Island and Bolivar Peninsula-Grimes-Houston-

Inland Brazoria-Inland Galveston-Inland Harris-Inland Jackson-

Inland Matagorda-Madison-Matagorda Islands-Montgomery-

Northern Liberty-Polk-San Jacinto-Southern Liberty-Trinity-Walker-

Waller-Washington-Wharton-
