Two people were struck and killed by an accused hit-and-run driver in the Heights .
It was Saturday evening around 9:30 p.m. when Houston police say a couple of people were hit in the 800 block of North Shepherd near West 10th Street.
Officials say they were looking for the suspected driver. Then, she returned to the scene.
Police say that accused driver drive to a family member's home, but no word on how long she'd been gone from the scene.
Authorities don't know why the hit-and-run victims were in the roadway when they hit.
