Gas prices keep going up

Gas prices had another sharp increase this week. Over the last three weeks, prices have jumped up twenty-eight cents around the Houston area.

“They are shooting up to $2.48 a gallon. That’s an eight cent jump from last week and three cents higher than it was a year ago,” Daniel Armbruster with AAA Texas said.

The prices are rising because refineries are shutting down for maintenance and then making the switch over to summer blend gasoline. So you can expect the prices to keep doing what they are doing now.

“In Texas we will probably see our average rise another ten cents. It could go higher, we will have to wait and see,” Armbruster explained.
