The cost of insulin has gotten so bad that patients have started rationing their doses...
Dr. Omar Durani tells KTRH, "Lawmakers must do something about these outrageous prices, because people's lives are at stake."
Its gotten so bad that a lawsuit has been filed against the three drug makers.
But, there is some good news... Dr. Durani says, "You can buy Humulin Regular Insulin for around $25 at the pharmacy, with or without a prescription."
He says the insulin isn't ideal for most diabetics, but it's definitely better than going without.
