(Houston, TX) -- Houston's YES Prep Public Schools will soon receive a record-breaking donation, thanks to a successful fundraiser. Last week's 14th annual Oil & Gas Texas Hold 'Em Tournament at the Corinthian downtown raised one-point-four-million dollars for the charter school system. The bulk of the money was given through event sponsorships, while the poker tournament itself brought in about 590-thousand dollars.
Mickey Barrett, a retired senior partner at the Vitol energy company, was crowned tournament champion.
