Millennial Men Lagging in the Workforce.

Millennial Men Lagging in the Workforce.

The latest unemployment crises is with millennial men. 25- to 34-year-old men are lagging in the workforce more than any other age and gender. Dr. John Huber with Mainstream Mental Health consults with companies that have unsuccessfully hired brilliant male millennials who become disillusioned with their first position and quit. “Today is the worst day in history to be a MAN.  Everything is changing. You used to be the “control person.” And now you’re inherent power just because you’re stronger is being taken away.”

Dr. Huber says they should pay some dues at work and learn the ropes. “You need to face reality and adjust!”

Some who started working right after high school say they got depressed filling tacos, quit and moved in with their mother.

Dr. John Huber says they missed the step of making a plan - even if it doesn't work. “If you take action and it fails --- that’s ok. You can take another action and change it.”

Some are taking action while still unemployed.

“Almost 500,000 have decided to get educated so they can do what they want to do – like taking training to become an EMT. Being an EMT is good to begin with --- and a way to start a career in the medical field. That’s not a bad thing!”
