Second Case Of West Nile Confirmed In Montgomery County

(Conroe, TX)  --  Officials are confirming a second case of West Nile virus in Montgomery County.  The patient is a man in his 60s whose name hasn't been released.  He's hospitalized with a case of the mosquito-borne illness.  

The Montgomery County Public Health District and the Mosquito Abatement Team are coordinating their efforts to suppress the mosquito population.  

As of Tuesday, the number of positive tests for West Nile in mosquitoes in southern Montgomery County was 78, up from 38 in July.
