In the aftermath of the church shooting in Sutherland Springs that killed 26 people, those on the left have been making fun of people saying their thoughts and prayers are with the victims of Devin Kelley.
It's not only on social media; CNN anchors like Don Lemon have done it, too.
“These God fearing Christians were in church. They were already praying,” Lemon said this week.
And the Tweets mocking the left have been over the top, including a lot of profanity. Jared Woodfill, the President of the Conservative Republicans of Texas, is disgusted.
“Clearly they need prayer themselves. They have clearly lost their way and don’t appreciate the power of prayer,” Woodfill stated.
And he says the families of the victims have no interest in hearing about gun control right now.
“The last thing they want to talk about is gun control. What they need more than anything are our prayers and support,” Woodfill explained.
Elsewhere, Harris County Precinct One Constable Alan Rosen hosted local pastors last night to talk about how to keep their congregations safe in the wake of the tragedy.
“You’ve got to have a working plan,” Rosen said. What we want to do is provide training to members of the church and protect themselves and save lives if God forbid an active shooter came into their place of worship.”
Rosen told KTRH that while the bigger churches in Houston have a law enforcement presence, the smaller ones do not.
