Three Harris County Sheriff's employees are under indictment on assault charges.
Prosecutors say Sergeant Marco Carrizales broke a man's eye socket in October 2015 when he hit him with an unknown object following a car chase.
Two jailers are also accused of assault in separate incidents. Dylan Goddard is accused of body-slamming an inmate in May 2016, while Michael Holley is accused of hitting inmates last December.
The Sheriff's Office says Carrizales and Goddard are on leave, while Holley was fired in August.
