A Montgomery County woman was killed this afternoon when a tree fell on her residence in the 17400 block of Louis Lane, Porter.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said Lisa Jones, 60, died in the bedroom of her trailer when a large oak tree fell over onto the residence, likely due to saturated ground resulting from Hurricane Harvey.
The woman's husband said she had been taking a nap in the bedroom. He was unable to get to her or get her to respond, so he left the home to get help.
Members of the Porter Fire Department assisted in removing the tree from the residence.
