Students Get a Scare at Six Flags

A group of visitors to Six Flags over Texas is stuck for hours on a ride, as severe storms moved through the area.

The Arlington Fire Department used ladder trucks to rescue eight students from the Joker Ride, which stalled amid high winds and rain.

The last person was taken from the ride at about 3:00am.   There were no injuries.

Six Flags officials say the ride will remain closed for the time being.  Investigators are looking into the cause of the malfunction.
