A team from Iowa makes the best barbecue in Texas.
Smokey D’s BBQ – a husband and wife team from Des Moines – was crowned Grand Champion at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Champion Darren Warth says, “My dream was to win Houston, [and] here it is… I've been on every major barbecue stage and nothing compares to Houston."
Rodeo officials say 266 teams competed for the top prize.
