The Texas Longhorns have found their man.  Published reports say they have offered a contract to Louisville head coach Charlie Strong, who is expected to accept.

Strong has led the Cardinals to a 37-15 record in four seasons at Louisville.  They went 12-1 this year –losing only to UCF – and beat Miami in the Citrus Bowl.  He also had Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback, who is widely seen among analysts as the top pick in May’s NFL draft, currently owned by the Houston Texans.

Strong has reportedly agreed to a five-year deal in Austin that would pay him 5-million dollars a year.  He would take over for Mack Brown, who stepped down after 16 seasons as the Longhorns head coach.
