Heavy rains Friday night and Saturday morning caused floods around San Antonio.  One death has been recorded.

The National Weather Service estimates that nine inches of rain fell between San Antonio and Leon Valley.  City officials say emergency crews performed several swift water rescues across the San Antonio Area.

The body of a 29-year-old woman was found behind a store with a car that had been swept into a culvert by high water nearby.  Police do not know if the car belongs to the woman who died.

Another woman described as in her 60's was killed when she was swept away while trying to be rescued.  Officials have not identified either woman.

The heavy rains flooded roadways and caused a flash flood warning that only expired yesterday afternoon.

The worst seemed to be in Bexar county where emergency management officials say they performed 54 water rescues on Saturday.
