Houston Marathon Sets a New Course
Posted June 12th, 2013 @ 4:07am by KTRH's John Labus

Changes are coming to the Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half-marathon.  Organizers are changing the race course in 2014, running on wider roads to accommodate the increasing numbers of participants.  Racers will have a common starting line on Congress Avenue and will run the same course through the River Oaks and Upper Kirby neighborhoods before splitting up at Rice University.

Runners can still get into the lottery for a race number through June 20th.   Selections will be announced June 24th; the race will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014.
