Adviser: Says It's Important to Do 'Something' About Retirement

A Texas financial adviser says it's important to do something now that the recession has laid wreckage to your retirement plans.

“A lot of people are supporting their children who have come home to live with them,” says Ivan Sacks, a financial strategist with Kingsley Advisors.  “And, some people took big capital losses, so unfortunately a lot of people are not prepared for retirement.”

Sacks some Texans have sold off family keepsakes to come up with some money -- just to pay bills.  But, he says, it's never too late.  He says you should find a trusted adviser, maybe an older, wiser friend or relative.

He says it’s important to do something.

“Sometimes you get stuck in your head and you stand fixed and are unable to move and take positive action,” he explains.
